Gala 2012
Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington will be celebrating their 44th Annual Gala “A Night of Cabaret” on Friday, March 23rd, 7:00PM at The Clubhouse at Harbor Links.
This Year Residents will be honoring:
Mayor Edward Adler
A 30-plus year resident of Sands Point, Adler has distinguished himself first as a Sands Point Village trustee and now as Mayor. All of Port Washington benefits from his tireless service on the Board of Directors of the Port Washington Library Foundation.
Mayor Leonard Wurzel
A Community Chest “Citizen of the Year.” Wurzel has devoted himself to both Sands Point and Greater Port Washington, serving as Sands Point Mayor and Village trustee, and Building and Water commissioner. Wurzel has also worked on the steering committee for the Shared Visioning Process for Port Washington, the Hempstead Harbor Protection Committee and the Emergeny Preparedness Committee.
David Brackett
Prominent Local business leader with a Port Washington-based accounting and tax firm, Brackett is a tireless civic volunteer. Brackett has served on the PW School District Board of Education, as Commissioner for PW Water District, and is a member of The Sons of Italy. He is also a 9-year board member of Residents for a More Beautiful Port Washington.
